Fairer, Healthier Liverpool
Liverpool is a Marmot City. We work collaboratively to create a fairer, healthier Liverpool for all
About the partnership
Liverpool has always been a pioneering city when it comes to health. We understand that to thrive, communities need stable jobs, good pay, housing, and education. Without essentials like warm homes and healthy food, our health suffers.
Many communities lack these building blocks of health, and we need to work together to fix them.

Liverpool is a Marmot City
Liverpool is a Marmot City. This recognises the city’s strong commitment to tackling health inequalities. The accolade was presented by leading health equity expert, Professor Sir Michael Marmot in April 2025.
